for all to enjoy
About our Bushcraft Company
Founded in 2017 Wildwoodlands has been developed for all to enjoy, whether it’s attending one of our Bushcraft courses or camping in the woodland, or just somewhere that you can come and further develop and practice your outdoor living skills this is the place for you.
We are a small family owned business that Dave setup with the support from his wife Lorraine and 3 children to run a range of outdoor courses in bushcraft, survival and wilderness living skills. Although some of our courses contain aspects of primitive and survival techniques, and we do very much focus on using natures resources to provide for us as much as possible, we do however also promote using modern equipment and technology.
Wildwoodlands is a place to learn, relax and have some fun and our goal is to provide you the very best experience in whichever course you decide to take part in. We use a mixture of demonstrations, explanation and on your part practical participation to gain as much hands on experience of bushcraft as possible.
We have developed a range of courses to cater for the various subject areas within bushcraft and adding new courses as the demand grows. We can always create bespoke courses for 1 to 1 bookings or private groups if required.
Booking onto a course is made as simple as possible, select you course, and date complete the booking information and deposit payment. We will follow up with confirmation email and further course details. 8 weeks prior to the course date we will send email with invoice payment options any remaining balance due. We will need a completed returned medical and consent form, downloadable from the website prior to course start date.
We schedule all our course dates in advance and run courses regardless of the number of participants. So occasionally we may only have a few people booked on, which is fine with us as we are always happy to be outside somewhere in the woods sharing our knowledge.
Our aim is to keep the courses numbers to a max of 10, we have no desire to over crowd our woodlands during our courses. Keeping the numbers low with minimal impact on the woodland is very important to us.
Wild Camping and facilities
On site we have a small dedicate camping area, for tents and tarps only, no vehicle access beyond the car park. This can be booked regardless if attending courses with us. There is a communal fire pit and outdoor kitchen and dining area for all. Toilets provided are composting/tree bogs and cold-water taps are available near the toilets and kitchen area.
Our spectacular Location
The courses and camping is run from the family farm located in mid Cornwall, we are situated in a perfect location 15 mins drive from the A30, 13 mins drive to the nearest beach, 10 minute drive to the famous Eden Project, 5 minutes to the nearest pub and just a minute walk away from the Saints way trail that follows a route between Padstow and Fowey (north and south Cornwall).
Fed and Watered
On our courses we provide the meals and drinks, we feel this is very important part of our courses. Cooking together outdoors on open fires brings a whole new dimension to the experience. We also provide tea’s, coffee, juice and water throughout the day. If you have specific requirements, please let us know.
Sharing the experience
After the course is finished, we will upload the course photos on to our Facebook page. You can tag yourself, add comments about your course experience and like and share with friends and family.
